Gigabyte’s latest offering is the first card to be announced that usurps the previous king of this form factor – AMD’s R9 Nano – by fitting an NVidia GTX 1070 into a 17cm long package.
Nvidia recently unveiled the GeForce GTX 1060 globally, and now the prices in India for the 1060 has finally been revealed.
The Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 will feature 1280 CUDA Cores, a whopping 6GB of GDDR5 Memory running at 8GBPS and a Boost Clock of 1.7 Ghz that can be overclocked to 2GHz. Across the top gaming titles, GTX 1060 is on average 15 percent faster and over 75 percent more power efficient than the closest competitive product at stock speeds. Using FinFET 16nm process, the GTX 1060 delivers GTX 980-level performance and twice the energy efficiency in VR. Gamers tend to fall religiously into two camps – NVIDIA or Radeon and never the twain shall meet.
During NVIDIA’s last big graphics-card refresh, which began in late 2014 with the GTX 970 and GTX 980, a mainstream card didn’t arrive from the company until four months after those high-end cards were released. Ansel will hit Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Mirrors Edge Catalyst, which will then be followed by a slew of Epic games as well as The Division and No Man’s Sky.
The GTX 1060 also provides support for NVIDIA Simultaneous Multi-Projection technology, included with VRWorks to seamlessly beam a single image simultaneously to both eyes. NVidia will throw open the source code for free to developers to enable them to create their VR Funhouse attractions.
The GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition board – designed and built by NVIDIA – will be available starting July 19 for $299 at www.nvidia.com only.

The higher version of GTX 1060 will unveil on July 19 at $249, while the release date of the lower version is yet to be confirmed.
