NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II
Not much came of the interview between the current NXT Champion and the No. 1 contender that he will face at TakeOver. Rumors have suggested that Bayley will make her long awaited trip to the WWE’s main roster shortly after SummerSlam. After spending nearly twelve years in TNA, months of speculation ended when Bobby Roode finally debuted in the WWE on NXT television on August 3rd.

Some men are men and others are glorious. Bobby Roode became a star without even competing in a single match as his promo featuring a snap heel turn made him an instant sensation and his theme song is beyond awesome.
Can Gargano and Ciampa repeat their victory over the champions?
There is potential for the loser of this match to be sent to the main roster, and the other will carry NXT. Could the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa steal the glory from the reigning holders and assert themselves under the NXT spotlight? He named veterans like Austin Aries facing No Way Jose. The former TNA performer started this rivalry after taking out the dancing performer in June and since then Jose has been set on revenge.
Billie Kay learned she will be in action in Brooklyn, with NXT General Manager William Regal placing her in a match against newcomer Ember Moon. He says they’re not trying to have the best women’s match they can have, they’re trying to have the best match of anyone on any night.
Despite a potentially epic match for the NXT Championship and the inclusion of such stars as Bobby Roode, Austin Aries and the debut of Ember Moon, the Asuka vs. Bayley rematch for the NXT Women’s Championship may be the most highly-anticipated bout at Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II. Last year, they sold out the Barclays Center in a matter of minutes and put on a great show. It’s an exciting time for fans of NXT and wrestling in general, and if the a year ago was any indication, we could just be seeing the tip of the iceberg and more major changes for NXT and WWE ahead.
The highlight of the program, in my opinion, was the video package hyping the NXT Women’s title match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II, between Asuka and Bayley. With stacked cards that produce the goods, it is easy to see why. From Bayley’s iconic championship win over rival Sasha Banks to Finn Balor retaining his NXT Championship against Kevin Owens in the promotions first ever ladder match, yet now incredibly the stakes have been raised even higher.

NXT proved that it’s more than just a “developmental” brand – NXT is one of the best wrestling shows you can watch, period, and while that was hinted at many times prior to Brooklyn, this TakeOver event, and what followed, settled it.
