NY City police aware of ISIS video but say no specific threat

In a newly released video by a jihadist group affiliated with ISIS, the terror group threatened that the U.S. would “suffer the same fate” as France should the government continue its military campaign in Syria.

The clip shows a brief glimpse of Times Square and then of a suicide bomber holding what appears to be a trigger, it said. Most of the footage is scenes of Paris and French President Francois Hollande. As he ends his speech with, “it’s terrible”, the words, “And what’s coming next will be far worse and more bitter” are superimposed on the screen.

A new ISIS propaganda video makes threats against the NY City – and shows Manhattan streetscapes that include Times Square and Herald Square, The Post has learned.

“While a few of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that NY City remains a top terrorist target”, he said.

He says the police department will remain vigilant and continue to work with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the intelligence community.

The video, released by ISIS’s media arm the Furat Media Center, features re-purposed footage of a music video released back in April which showed a suicide bomber getting ready to attack Times Square.

They also will be working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Terrorism Task Force to keep the city safe.
