East Seoul, South Korea (4-1) beat Panama 7-2 to win the global half of the bracket, and Endwell, New York (4-0) won the USA bracket with a 4-2 victory over Goodlettsville, Tennessee on Saturday.

Connor Rush hit an RBI-single that fell in shallow left field and plated the first run in the fourth inning.

Sunday will be a special day for several youngsters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, as the 2016 Little League World Series Championship will be played at iconic Howard J. Lamadie Stadium at 3:00 PM ET.

ESPN reports that this is New York’s first Little League World Series championship since 1964. Harlost scored the deciding run on a passed ball a batter later. After Jaekyeong Kim popped out to the third baseman, Sangheon Park drew a walk to put the tying run on second base, although he never got to score, as Minho Choi struck out swinging for the final out of the game. Abbadessa broke up the righty’s no-hit bid with a single to center. South Korea knocked off Aguadulce, Panama in the International Championship Game on Saturday, 7-2.

NY justly won the tournament and now have bragging rights for a year.

South Korea boasts a big, powerful lineup with six players weighing in over 150 pounds.

South Korea threatened in the final inning. Any little hits that get anywhere, just gotta be ready to run home and get the run.

Down to his team’s last out, Zach McWilliams gave Tennessee life with a two-run homer off Jude Abbadessa in the top of the sixth.
