NY school principal reassigned over rap video appearance
A Southampton assistant principal has been tossed from her job after appearing in a twerking-and-alcohol-filled video by raunchy rappers JR and Trey Songz. The video continues on as J.R. throws a massive party with Trey Songz arriving, as well as dozens of houseguests.

The assistant principal of Southampton High School in Long Island has found herself reassigned after an appearance in the video for “Best Friend” by J.R. and Trey Songz. But that was enough to raise a few eyebrows.
While Adler-O’Keefe’s participation was limited, it is easy to see why the school district would disapprove of an educator taking part in the video, although it did probably buy a few brownie points from a few of her students.

“Had I known of such content or lyrics, I certainly would not have participated in any fashion”, she told The Southhampton Press in September, after the vid went viral among high school students.
“The video in question showcases behaviors and language use that is not promoted by the Southampton School District”, Superintendent Dr. Scott Farina said in an email. “Just remember, security’s here”. “In fact, we actively teach our students the importance of good character and making smart choices”.
She returns at the end to find the rapper passed out, surrounded by weed and women, and throws a volleyball at his head to wake him up.
She was reportedly hired over the summer to appear in the video and claims she was “completely unaware of the content, lyrics, and title of the video and song”. Adler-O’Keefe must have She thought the bikini-clad women featured in the “Next Morning” section of the video were just really sleepy.

Adler-O’Keefe had worked in the school district for five years, responsible for high school discipline.
