WATCH VIDEO: Witness assists the injured at scene of a powerful explosion from a explosive device the injured at least 29 people in New York’s popular Chelsea neighborhood on Saturday. Officials said the other injuries were minor, described as scrapes and bruises. “And that’s how we will prosecute it”, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.

What happened to the second device?

A second device – reportedly a pressure cooker attached to wiring and a mobile phone – had been found four blocks from the site of the explosion in the Chelsea district and was removed safely. Police had earlier advised residents on the block where the device was found to stay away from windows facing 27th Street.

Is there a connection to an explosion in New Jersey? Officials said a charity race-the Seaside Semper Five event for members of the US Marine Corps- was scheduled to pass through but thanks to an unexpected delay, no one was injured.

“A bomb exploding in NY is obviously an act of terrorism but it’s not linked to global terrorism, in other words, we find no Isis connection”, Mr Cuomo said in a press conference on Sunday (local time).

Was this an act of terrorism?

Alam said Sunday he hit the gas and tried to take his passengers to their destination in Queens, but pulled over along Madison Avenue and 39th Street.

“The bombs that were in Seaside, New Jersey, appear to be different than the ones in Manhattan”, said Cuomo. We believe it was intentional.

Hillary Clinton is condemning what she calls “apparent terrorist attacks” in New York, New Jersey and Minnesota.

“We will find who planted these explosives and they will be punished”, he added.

The Chelsea explosion occurred at about 21:00, outside a residence for blind people on West 23rd St.

“All hands are on deck; injuries are significant”, Mayor Bill de Blasio told a news conference. It was intentional. It was a violent act.

“It was a bombing, that’s what we know”. He said it was discovered by state troopers who were combing the area for secondary devices.

How did the presidential candidates respond? In fact, Clinton’s first question from the press was on that exact topic, with a reporter asking what she thought about Trump “immediately” calling the attacks a bombing.

What we don’t know: So far surveillance videos haven’t pointed investigators toward a suspect, a senior law enforcement official said.

Jain said the explosion shattered the glass in her building’s lobby. “We’re lucky that only 29 were injured”, Cuomo said on MSNBC Sunday. We know it’s a very serious incident.

“We’re not going to let them win”, Cuomo said at the scene.

He later tweeted, “I would like to express my warmest regards, best wishes and condolences to all of the families and victims of the terrible bombing in NYC”.

Early Sunday, police said an investigation into a third suspicious package turned up a bag of trash. “Think of a jigsaw puzzle out in the street right now”, he said.
