Kirkman was speaking with Nerdist’s Dan Casey about the entire Walking Dead universe – the comics, the novels, the video game, and of course, the show, which returns for its sixth season on Sunday.

Although The Walking Dead’s fans are ready for the season 6 premiere, there is another even that shouldn’t be overlooked: New York City’s Comic Con. However, this year, with the season 6 premiere event being held at Madison Square Garden, we’re seeing a lot more attention being given to the usually somewhat quiet news source.
Creator Robert Kirkman‘s appeared at New York Comic Con, this week. The first couple of episodes hit the ground running and there are big cliffhangers at the end of every episode. I’ve been stopped on the streets of Zimbabwe for being Michonne so, it doesn’t get more far away than that, you know? He also added jokingly that he’d love Ed O’Neill for the role.
“Maggie’s charm is growing, like all others, but she’s really become notably assertive”.
I think The Walking Dead is as strong as it is because I’m able to hand things off. Just giving [creators such as Telltale Games] general direction on what makes The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead, and them following that to a tee.
What we do know is that the show already announced a casting notice for “Orin”, a guy who certainly sounds a lot like the feared villain. For example, when asked by the moderator who will die in Season 6 and how, Kirkman responded, without hesitation, an answer created to rile up the crowd.
“The Walking Dead” is about people trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse. “The Carol in the show, which is a much better character let’s be honest, actually is made stronger by all the more frightful things that happen to her in the show”.

“The Walking Dead” director Greg Nicotero also hinted about the 90-minute Season 6 premiere in a recent interview when he said that the show will open right in the middle of the heightened action sequence during the Season 5 finale. Check your local listings for time and availability.
