Nyle DiMarco Dedicates ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Victory to the Deaf Community
VanZant, 22, had dance training as a child and it showed in her technique and high-scoring performances, but judges have praised her throughout the season for allowing her vulnerability to show, telling her she has only continued to improve. Peta just took home the mirror ball with “DWTS” partner Nyle DiMarco. “Carrie Ann Inaba, shown here in November, 2013, has been a ‘Dancing With the Stars” judge for all of its 22 seasons.

The emotional moment left Nyle in tears, as judge Carrie Ann Inaba used sign language to tell Nyle, “Thank you for showing us your attractive heart with dance”.
When Murgatroyd and DiMarco delivered their final performance tonight, the judges gushed over how incredible and inspiring the dance was …
Ginger Zee, meanwhile, placed third with partner Val. If the winners were based upon the scores, then Paige and Mark would have been the winning couple. The ladies were both glad to have the experience but everyone was adamant that Nyle deserved to win the competition as he had to work extra hard given his disadvantage.
As well as returning to the United Kingdom this summer for festival season, she will be announcing a new United Kingdom single. You have to think, ‘Can a deaf person really dance to the music as perfectly as we did?’ I just didn’t know if we were really going to be able to do that.
Ultimately it was America’s Next Top Model victor DiMarco who won America’s hearts and took home 1st place! “You get no sympathy votes from me”. Throughout the season, there was no clear frontrunner, and well-known names like Geraldo Rivera, Jodie Sweetin, Kim Fields, Von Miller, and Antonio Brown were all eliminated before Nyle and Peta. Thank you for helping me tell my story through dancing: What it really means to be Deaf. “I think that’s the one thing that I need the most”.
After one of the closest finales ever, Season 22 has crowned its champion, and no matter what, he or she would be a deserving victor.

Recalling what she said in an interview, he shared via a translator: “She said, “Thank you for sharing what’s in my heart”, and that’s what really touched me because that’s my goal every week”. Host Tom Bergeron spoke with Murgatroyd after the announcement and the 29-year-old DWTS vet gushed over her impressive partner.
