Matlin was among the slew of celebs to witness DiMarco’s winning performance to Disturbed’s “The Sound of Silence” with dance partner Peta Murgatroyd.

Nyle Dimarco won the Mirrorball trophy earlier this week, as he competed and won viewers’ hearts.

Their dance on Tuesday’s finale also received ideal scores and a special message from Inaba, who thanked Nyle for his performance this season in sign language, a moment that brought him to tears.

For their final performance, the duo took on a Tango/Cha Cha fusion dance, and scored a ideal 30 from the judges helping them solidify their place in the top spot.

Zee took third place.

VanZant came in second, and she told Bergeron that she was happy to have been a part of the show. Luckily for fans of DiMarco and Murgatroyd – who redefined what it is to dance – the pair spoke about their two-stepping experience Wednesday during a segment on “Good Morning America”.

Paige VanZant: VanZant got a ideal 30 for her fusion jive/salsa with pro partner Mark Ballas. Len Goodman said that if DWTS was based exclusively on dance ability, Paige would be the one to beat in the competition.

With all the attention, DiMarco remains humbled at the win. “Im a girl who loves storms and who I hope someone can take away from this that you can be more than one thing”.

And hours after Peta Murgatroyd’s triumph a report emerged she is pregnant with her first child.

This isn’t the first time DiMarco has made reality TV history – he was also crowned the victor of “America’s Next Top Model” on the show’s final season. “I owe everything to [DiMarco]”.
