NYPD looking for suspect in Manhattan explosion
This undated photo provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation shows Ahmad Khan Rahami. But a grand jury declined to indict him, despite a warning from the arresting officer that Rahami was likely “a danger to himself or others”. The person wasn’t authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Ahmad Khan Rahami has lived at that address in Elizabeth, which is above a fried chicken store.
“Ahmad Rahami and I have a child together, but neither my child nor I have had any physical contact with him in more than two years”.
4 p.m., Sunday, New York City: Multiple law enforcement officials told ABC News that investigators were exploring the possibility of a link between the explosions in New York and New Jersey.
Police Commissioner James O’Neill warned New Yorkers Monday to remain vigilant, but said that “there is no other individual we are looking for at this point in time”.
She would not provide further details, but a government official and a law enforcement official who were briefed on the investigation said that five people in the vehicle were being questioned at an FBI building in Manhattan.
Ahmad Khan Rahami, a 28-year-old naturalized USA citizen from Elizabeth, New Jersey, was taken into custody hours after authorities identified him as the prime suspect in the Saturday night blast.
Saturday’s bombings and subsequent finds came just days before the annual General Assembly of the United Nations in NY.
Video shown by CNN showed Rahami put in the back of an ambulance on Monday after a shootout with police in Linden, New Jersey. “You know, that’s that’s part of an investigation that will keep the country safe It also is an opportunity for us to learn some lessons”, Earnest said during a press briefing in New York City.

The president is echoing Federal Bureau of Investigation officials who have said they’re investigating the Minnesota stabbings as a potential act of terrorism.
A message left with the Federal Bureau of Investigation wasn’t immediately returned.
It wasn’t known if Rahami had an attorney.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York City, for example, has increased patrols and surveillance “to provide heightened protection across all its agencies”, according to a news release issued by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.
The man thanks the officers for their service and says he wishes “he could give more”. If the start of the race had not been delayed because of a large number of participants, authorities said the blast would have gone off as the area was filled with runners.
William Sweeney Jr., the FBI’s assistant director in NY, said there are no indications Rahami was on law enforcement’s radar at the time of the bombings.
According to a Reuters report, Rahami was not listed on USA counterterrorism databases.
The lawsuit was terminated in 2012 after Mohammad Ruhami pleaded guilty to blocking police from enforcing the restriction. Bollwage said to expect more detonations.
Ryan McCann, of Elizabeth, said that he often ate at the restaurant and recently began seeing the younger Rahami working there more. He’s a very friendly guy, that’s what’s so scary. No one was injured.
On Saturday night, a shrapnel-packed pressure-cooker bomb similar to those used in the Boston Marathon attack exploded in New York’s Chelsea section, wounding 29 people, none seriously.
A second bomb that was discovered almost four blocks away was defused successfully by the bomb disposal squad.

Police have also tied Rahami to a non-detonated pressure-cooker bomb, also recovered in Manhattan, as well as a backpack full of pipe bombs found in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
