ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Roethlisberger could be out for a “few weeks”, while the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ed Bouchette tweeted the injury might keep him out “2 weeks or so”.

Everyone it seems was anxious about the Raiders “press coverage”, well everyone except Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Steelers backup QB Landry Jones. But the Steelers must recognize that a foot injury such as this limits Roethlisberger’s signature mobility, turning him into a different quarterback altogether. In the four losses, he’s been picked off three times. The Raiders though, suffered a number of injuries that, if they linger, could have a serious and detrimental impact on the team moving forward. Smith sacked him 2 1/2 times and threatened to do even more damage to his ankle.
However, it looks like the positive effect of Ben Roethlisberger’s return won’t last long as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback is once again sidelined due to injury.

Jones, a 2013 fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma, has completed 59.6 percent of his passes this season for 456 yards and three touchdowns. “He has my future laid out for me”, Jones said about the verse. “He’s delivered for us time and time again”. All-Pro Maurkice Pouncey went down in the preseason and probably won’t play this year. They’ve been without left tackle Kelvin Beachum the last three games.
With a bye week looming, the timing for Roethlisberger’s injury couldn’t be better. Roethlisberger missed four games earlier this season with a sprained left knee.
Because of this, the Steelers will face the Browns already without Bell, and now without Roethlisberger, two of the most important offensive players of the team.

Two of the records that Brown broke on Sunday were franchise records. Brown’s speed and elusiveness turned what should have been a short gain into a big play.
