Obama: America is becoming numb to gun violence

Cruz said, “What caused this was a sick, deranged person and we have to focus our law enforcement efforts on criminals”.

Obama said anyone who commits a mass shooting has a sickness in their head, but other countries who have the similar mental care issues do not see large-scale shootings.

Because gun violence in America has become so routine that it is never shown to scale or thought about in comparison to other violent circumstances within which humans kill each other.

“My response ends up being routine … we’ve become numb to this”. “This is a conversation we will have but today is not the day”.

He said it is clear that anyone responsible for such carnage has a sickness in his mind.

Now, within the subset of liberals I can guarantee you there are a few buffalo’ed, innocent, ignorant, standard, ordinary, every day Americans who mistakenly believe in the goodness of their hearts that taking guns away from people will make us safer. The president referenced shootings in Australia and Britain that led to reforms that largely stopped such massacres there.

Jackson agreed but added, people kill people more efficiently with guns more available.

Wants more gun control?

Obama exhorted gun owners to question whether the gun lobby represented their views. The takeaway from his Thursday press conference is that he favors, in a few way, gun confiscation.

A spokesman for the group declined comment on Obama’s remarks.

“I keep waiting for someone to tell me what new gun law can we pass that would have prevented this shooting or Sandy Hook or Aurora or Charleston”, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said in a taped statement posted on his website Friday. He said he knew his opponents would criticize him for politicizing a tragedy.

“It s a ploy to disarm us, that s all that is”, he said.

The topic could feature in the 2016 presidential election.

A staunch believer in the Second Amendment, he fired off a letter two years ago to Vice President Joe Biden saying he would never comply with any gun control law coming from the Obama administration.

“If he identifies (a remedy)”, the governor said, according to MPR, “then he ought to advance that as a national solution”. Cuomo said. “It’s not because I don’t want to respect the victims”. “What are we doing to provide that?” he said.

Murphy talks nearly every week on the Senate floor about the need for gun control, an issue he has pushed aggressively since the killing of 20 first graders and six educators at a Connecticut elementary school by a single young male shooter in 2012.
