Obama, Biden catch up over lunch amid 2016 campaign buzz

A Biden confidant who describes the Vice President as “more comfortable” with the idea of running said the sessions are among “several logical and necessary steps” the Vice President and his inner circle would be taking over the next several weeks. Running by himself, Biden, who has always been a pragmatic Dem rather than a hard leftist, might face an uphill battle peeling off Sanders voters.

The revelations appear to have damaged her approval ratings, especially on qualities like honesty and trustworthiness. It is not known if they would ultimately work for Biden if he does enter the race.

Those close to Obama and Biden insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the vice president’s deliberations or the White House’s view of the 2016 race. I don’t think so.
