Obama: Bill Cosby’s Medal of Freedom can’t be revoked
President Barack Obama admitted on Wednesday there is little he can do about the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award presented to now disgraced comedic legend Bill Cosby back in 2002.

Mr. Cosby isn’t facing criminal charges, because he either reached out-of-court settlements with accusers or the rape allegations were made long after the statute of limitations had kicked in. In May, Janice Dickinson, a former supermodel, sued Cosby for defamation because his lawyer said her claim that Cosby drugged and raped her “is a fabricated lie”.
And the president added that no civilized country should have tolerance for rape.
Recently released court documents reveal Cosby once testified under oath that he gave Quaaludes to the women he wanted to sleep with.
While discussing the Iran nuclear deal, a historic piece of global diplomacy, some knucklehead reporter with corporate media instead asks President Obama about Bill Cosby. Constand, who like dozens of other women, accused Cosby of sexual assault.
Obama said there is no way that the prestigious medal could be revoked.
An article by Stacy Brown in Sunday’s New York Post-which we quote with reservations-quoted a source employed by the Cosby family as saying, “Camille still doesn’t believe that Bill provided drugs and had sex with women without their consent”. “It is important, however, that a mechanism be created to revoke the Medal of Freedom if the recipient brings dishonor upon our nation’s highest honor”.
The career of the pioneering black comedian – best known for playing lovable father figure Dr. Cliff Huxtable on the hit TV comedy series “The Cosby Show” – is in tatters.
Actor Joseph C. Phillips, who appeared as Cliff Huxtable’s son-in-law, has also turned against Cosby, after initially refusing to believe the allegations against a man he idolized. It is filled with mixed emotions for the man he once looked up to and said helped make him the person he is today. Several women then have come forward and said that Cosby drugged and raped them decades ago.
“I suspect this is not the last that we’ve heard of this debate”, he said. We’ve heard what Whoopi Goldberg thinks.
Trump said he’s also said he isn’t a fan of Sen.

It can be remembered that when Cosby received this in 2002, Bush praised him to be a “gifted comedian” who can heal and bridge people with his skill in making people laugh.
