Obama: Clinton ‘steady,’ Trump ‘not fit in any way’ to lead
Obama acknowledged that Trump was thriving off of the same kind of energy that he received during his own presidential campaign, but warned his supporters not to take Hillary Clinton for granted.

The former secretary of state later emerged from her daughter’s nearby apartment, saying she was “feeling great”, but several hours later, her campaign revealed she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and advised to rest.
Clinton’s first comments about her health condition came in a CNN interview late Monday, a day after a dizzy spell caught on video forced the Democratic nominee to disclose her illness and cancel a West Coast campaign trip.
The incident reinforced Clinton’s reputation as a public figure with a predisposition for privacy. Now, in a rational world, no doctor would ever do this unless they were being paid a totally absurd amount of money, but since this is the Clintons we are dealing with (do you realize how many people they have murdered over the years?!) I’m fully aware that such a rationale is completely ineffective to those on the political right.
A new NBC News poll shows Trump closing in on Clinton. “This is not me going through the motions here”, Obama said at the rally.
Aaron Regunberg, a Democratic state representative from Rhode Island, said he was “surprised and concerned” that the race is so tight. This guy who’s spent 70 years on this earth showing no concern for working people.
Clinton abruptly left a 9/11 anniversary event Sunday in NY and was seen on video stumbling and being held up by aides.
Clinton, Obama’s former secretary of state, rested at her home in Chappaqua, New York, from pneumonia, a diagnosis that was made on Friday but which she kept secret until she almost collapsed in New York on Sunday at a ceremony marking the September 11, 2001, attacks.
“Feeling great! It’s a lovely day in NY”, she gushed to reporters after leaving her daughter’s luxury apartment Sunday afternoon.
Clinton’s campaign was already on the defensive after she used the term “basket of deplorables” to describe half of Trump’s supporters. Of course, she realized that even though she prefaced her remarks by calling them a generalization, some thin-skinned Trumpers got offended. I benefited from that when I was a candidate, and we take for granted sometimes what is steady and true. Former White House adviser David Gergen suggested in his book Eyewitness to Power that her steadfast refusal to release Whitewater Development Corp. records requested by the Washington Post in 1993 helped lead to an independent counsel investigation that ultimately led to President Bill Clinton’s impeachment.
“We have to make sure that Trump does not get in and ruin this country”, local designer Erica Sullivan said, sporting a festive hat with pictures of Clinton and Obama embracing.
Hillary Clinton remained on the campaign sidelines on Tuesday, recovering from pneumonia.
A forceful and somewhat frustrated President Obama characterized Donald Trump as a selfish, dictator-loving moron who is a threat to the very fabric of American democracy. The last few days have raised even more questions about each candidate’s capacity to lead. “But I got to say this year we’ve been hearing a little more insane than usual”, said Obama, as the crowd chanted “Hillary.” . The Obama administration recently halted the project, but that’s not enough, protesters said.
The disclosure that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia was a quintessentially Clintonian stumble, with her instinct for secrecy proving more damaging than the facts of the situation. Pennsylvania, which was carried by a Democratic nominee in the past six elections, is viewed as essential for Trump’s chances of achieving the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency.
