Obama declines to declare Clinton the nominee

The scenario is playing out Friday in ME, where Democrats are divided between supporters of the Vermont senator and the former secretary of state.

Previously, Sanders recommended 40 people to be assigned to the three standing committees, including the Rules Committees, for the upcoming Democratic National Convention scheduled for this July in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Today, I talked with Jane Sanders, who’s married to Bernie – and also his longtime political partner.

Sanders continues to run strong with younger voters – 72 percent of 17 to 29 year olds support him. Obama, he and I were neck and neck in the popular vote.

“I think what you will see when all the candidates are out except the top two: I think you will see polling become more accurate”.

The 83 pledged delegates are awarded proportionally.

Our straw poll also asked people who said they were going to vote in the Republican presidential primary to pick a candidate. So we think that when Bernie has won some of these states by 70, 80 percent, that those superdelegates should go to him – and vice versa.

As Cruz’s fortunes soured Tuesday night, the Sanders campaign appeared to gain new energy with a surprise win over Clinton in Indiana.

Fast forward to today.

The Republican front-runner addressed supporters at Trump Tower in NY on Tuesday night after his chief Republican rival, Ted Cruz dropped out. But at this point in the race, in early May, she was facing similar pressure to concede.

Hillary Clinton’s rally in California was cut short this week when a group of Bernie Sanders backers broke out into a loud protest, with some of the demonstrators even turning their anger against children who were backing Clinton.

That means based on primaries and caucuses to date, Clinton now has 1,682 and Sanders has 1,361. “I think we’ve got some more good victories coming – so we are in this race until the very last vote is cast”.

Her comments Thursday, however, were some of the farthest she’s gone in suggesting her opponent should consider dropping out.

She pushed for a show of force in California, telling the crowd, “I know winning big in California will put us on the path to winning big in November”. “Maybe it’s over for the insiders and the party establishment but the voters today in IN had a different idea”. “Now if that were true in ’08, that is true on steroids (today)”.

That means it’s nearly certain that Trump will face Clinton in the general election this fall.
