When President Barack Obama embraced Hillary Clinton at the end of his rousing speech at his last Democratic National Convention as president of the United States, it was a fascinating bookend from 2008 when the then-rivals battled hard to reach an uneasy detente.

“Fifteen years ago on September 11th, we saw death and we saw destruction”.

“I have heard you, your cause is our cause”, she said, “our country needs your ideas, energy and passion”.

She also spoke of Hillary’s many political fights to “protect our planet from climate change and our communities from gun violence” as well as her advocating for women’s rights, which are “human rights”, that are also LGBT rights. She described her mother as a diligent public servant who looks for solutions and dives into policy.

Vice presidential nominee and Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine took Trump to task during his address to the convention, highlighting the differences between Clinton and the real estate mogul’s career paths.

“It was just like a mom telling a kid, ‘Respect your elders.’ It was so well done”, she said. But here’s the sad truth: “There is no other Donald Trump…This is it”.

Democrats argued all week from the convention stage that the NY billionaire was temperamentally unfit for the job.

“What an incredible honor that you have given me, and I can’t believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet”, CNN reported she said. “And in this election, I choose Hillary Clinton”, said Felicia Sanders.

“He shook the house last night, but more significantly Sasha Obama is a calming centering leader in a time of great unrest”, CastroLang said Thursday. She concluded by saying, “Americans don’t say “I alone can fix it” we say ‘we’ll fix it together'”.

“We will not build a wall”, Clinton said.

“Everybody knows she’s smart”. Everybody knows she’s tough.

“It’s morning in America” was an optimistic line from a famous political ad aired by Ronald Reagan.
