Obama: ISIS just ‘a bunch of killers with good social media’
The downing of a Russian passenger jet last month drove that point home to Putin, he said.

Mr. Obama said last week that Russian Federation and Iran must decide whether to continue to shore up Mr. Assad or join an global effort to defeat Islamic State militants.
“Russia has not officially committed to the transition of Assad moving out”, Mr. Obama said in a news conference.
President Obama is defying critics who are calling for a more aggressive approach to the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) ahead of a Tuesday meeting with French President François Hollande. Obama said that the US already has a strict vetting process for Syrian refugees being resettled in the United States.
Obama has repeatedly refused to cooperate on anti-ISIS strikes with Russian Federation, whose recent entry into the Syrian civil war angered the administration. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attacks, and France responded days after with an intensified airstrike campaign in Syria against militant targets. That program lets foreigners enter the US without visas from 38 countries for short stays. The American people are right to be concerned, Obama said Sunday.
Obama said the attacks must not be allowed to cause a distorted reaction that would only play into the terrorists’ goals.
“We will not give in to fear or turn on each other or treat someone differently just due to their religion, race or background”.
Obama refused to comment on the financial controversies in Malaysia.
Giving Islamic State terrorists more credit than President Obama has done, Sen. “And knowing that they can count on the most powerful country to have their back as they determine what’s necessary to strengthen homeland security in their own country but also to take the fight to ISIL, I think that will be a source of significant comfort to the French people”, Earnest told reporters Monday.
When Obama ordered the airstrikes on Islamic State troops, a former member of the joint chiefs confided that he had little confidence that alone would bring down the fanatics. They’ve seized on previous statements in which the president called them the “JV team” and “contained”. How about Hillary Clinton, who came up with the bright idea that Bashar Assad must go?
In the weekly Republican address, Rep. Martha McSally of Arizona said Obama lacks a sense urgency in the fight. “We’re telling the administration to step up”, she said. And now what you see, I think, in other places is a competition developing from other terrorist organizations. “We are going to keep on rolling back [the] ISIL (IS) in Iraq and in Syria and take out more of their leaders and commanders so that they do not threaten us”.
“They’re a bunch of killers with good social media”, Obama said Sunday during press conference in Malaysia.

Putin understands this. Obama does not seem to understand this; if he does, then he is shirking his duty to us citizens, and to the citizens of the world who look to the United States as that “shining beacon on the hill” as another President said, a President who really did understand what we stand for, and have always stood for, in the world community. From Russia’s ill-fated war in Afghanistan in the 1980s to the similarly troubled times for US forces in Iraq from 2003 to 2011, large amounts of weapons were left behind or handed over to U.S.-trained forces.
