Obama Not Sure of Motive in Cop Killings by Black Power Radical

At about 10:30 p.m., dozens of activists entered the freeway.

“I think it’s safe to say we’ll leave no stone unturned”, Dallas Deputy Police Chief Scott Walton said.

Those who took part said trams were stopped and bus passengers jumped off their services to join in as campaigners linked up with another protest into the deaths of Kingsley Burrell and Mark Duggan.

A ringleader of London’s Black Lives Matter movement brushed off the recent police murders in Dallas with the words “What do they expect?”. On a lighter note, the 405 was the scene of a dinner party when the freeway was shut down for “Carmageddon”.

The protest Sunday was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, but was not officially affiliated with the group.

Police have been tight-lipped about exactly what they’re investigating and what they’ve uncovered so far.

Mckesson streamed his own arrest live on Periscope, and could be heard saying, “I’m under arrest, y’all” as fellow protesters asked why he was being held. If he said that he wanted to kill white people, something is wrong with him and none of us agree with that.

There’s been a lot of tragedy during this last week, with the deaths of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and five police officers escorting a Black Lives Matter march in Dallas Thursday night. “But even rhetorically, if we paint police in broad brush without recognizing that the vast majority of police officers are doing a really good job and are trying to protect people … if the rhetoric does not recognize that, then we’re going to lose allies in the reform cause”. In a 2014 “Meet the Press” interview, he said, “I find it very disappointing that you’re not discussing the fact that 93 percent of blacks in America are killed by other blacks”.

“Our officers acted admirably and incredibly professionally”, Mayor Chris Coleman told MSNBC on Monday, explaining that the police had used smoke bombs and mace, but not teargas. But there is unity in recognizing that this is not how we want our communities to operate.

“I’m exhausted of seeing my brothers die”, said Rijo, 18, a student living in East New York.

“I hope it encourages people to start policing smarter and brings the community together with the police to do so”, said Dani Poole, a protester. “We’ve been doing a lot of organizing around this, trying to combat police brutality and stand there for folks who are experiencing racialized violence in the USA and also in Canada”. Authorities in Dallas said that the man’s motive was apparently retaliation for police killings of black men and that he had been disenchanted with the peaceful Black Lives Matter movement.

Something thrown at one officer knocked out several teeth and police also confiscated three rifles, three shotguns and two pistols, the department said.

The anger, frustration, and sadness many Americans feel right now about the fatal shootings of police officers and Black men losing their lives at the hands of police officers must be turned toward real change.
