Obama Points Out The Cause Behind The San Bernardino Shooting
Less than an hour after the Sunday night speech, critics of the President’s plan took to social media to urge for more concrete solutions to battle ISIL.

He reminded that the San Bernardino shooting was as much an instance of gun violence as it was an “act of terrorism”.
A senior administration official said the speech was created to convey the seriousness with which Obama was taking the shootings, which are being investigated as a terror attack.
President Obama also said that America should put in place stronger screening for those who come to America without a visa so that we can take a hard look at whether they have traveled to war zones.
Obama says he understands why Americans are anxious about the threat of terrorism but is reassuring Americans the US will overcome it.
My fellow Americans, I am confident we will succeed in this mission because we are on the right side of history.
After Obama’s speech Sunday, Sen. He said it is now too easy for people who want to harm Americans to buy guns.
He also called on Congress to pass new authorization for military actions underway against IS in Iraq and Syria and to approve legislation to keep people on the “no-fly list” from buying guns. The first action he said Congress must take immediately was to ensure that no suspected terrorists could buy weapons. These included voting to authorize the continued use of military force against ISIL’s terrorist army.
Obama’s speech was poorly received by other Conservatives as well. “So long as we stay true to that tradition, I have no doubt that America will prevail”. “The victims were brutally murdered and injured by one of their co-workers and his wife”, Obama said. He argued the U.S.is successfully targeting IS leaders, infrastructure and financing, while Western allies are contributing more to the fight. And 68% said the American response to the group’s rise had not been sufficiently aggressive.
Republicans have said Obama’s strategy has not been working, and mocked the president for declining to use the words “radical Islamic terrorism”.
The speaker said the House will vote later this week on a bipartisan bill to update the visa waiver program, but says more needs to be done with our military, our intelligence gathering and our global partners.
Trump had vowed to live-tweet Obama’s remarks. Our success won’t depend on tough talk, or abandoning our values or giving into fear. Farook and Malik appeared to be in contact with the radical Islam group known as the Islamic State, also called ISIS and ISIL. “Nothing President Obama said tonight will assist in either case”, Cruz said.
“He also called on Muslims in America to confront the hateful ideology espoused by that minority and speak out for religious tolerance, mutual respect and human dignity”. They know they can’t defeat us on the battlefield.
The president offered no new details on the investigation into the San Bernardino attack, saying that “so far, we have no evidence that the killers were directed by a terrorist organization overseas or that they were part of a broader conspiracy here at home”.
Obama said the current strategy, which includes air strikes, special operations forces and partnerships with local forces that are fighting to regain control of their own countries, will allow the coalition to achieve a more sustainable victory.
“ISIL does not speak for Islam”, he said, calling them a “tiny fraction” of the millions of Muslims around the world.
President Obama stressed on the need for Muslims to reject terrorism.

Woven throughout Obama’s address was a plea for unity.
