Obama promises to keep pressure on Iran

Nadler’s support is significant considering the recent opposition expressed by other prominent Jewish Democrats from New York, including Sen.

The president also said he believes Israel’s security is “sacrosanct” and detailed the “unprecedented” military, intelligence and security support and cooperation his administration has provided. “The goal is to make sure Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon, and the pre-negotiated inspections are not the right way to achieve that goal in the best interests of the United States and our allies, specifically Israel“, said Westmoreland. According to a 2013 study by the Jewish Federation of North America, an estimated 37.6 percent of Nadler’s district is Jewish.

“If Iran is to acquire a nuclear bomb, it will not have my name on it”, Menendez said.

The deal would lift U.S., China, Russian Federation and European Union sanctions on Iran in exchange for limits on Iran’s nuclear program.

The president wrote the letter from Martha’s Vineyard, the upmarket island off the Massachusetts coast where he is in the middle of a two week holiday.

“All of the options available to the United States – including the military option – will remain available through the life of the deal and beyond”, Obama wrote in the letter, released by the White House Thursday night.

A day before the President sent his letter to Nadler, another Democrat, Sen. Democrats, who align themselves with the Grand anti-Obama Party, will actually be helping Iran.

“One must welcome this global innovation and outside-the-box thinking”, Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz, tasked by Netanyahu to speak out on the Iranian nuclear issue, said in a sarcastic reference to the AP report. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said reports of the Iranian-inspection arrangement should be enough to persuade members of Congress to reject the overall Iran nuclear deal. Graham, who chairs the Senate subcommittee with jurisdiction over U.S. funding of the IAEA, repeated his promise to withhold those contributions to the agency until it provides Congress with the agreement.

The president will speak with members of the community via a webcast that is scheduled for 2:10 P.M (ET), which will be followed by a question and answer session with the president.

Congress is facing a vote next month on a resolution disapproving of the deal, but Obama will veto such legislation if it prevails. “That is a huge benefit to the U.S. because if Iran breeches, we will have all the intelligence we need to take out their entire nuclear production accurately”, Gillibrand said.

Some key lawmakers have not yet made their positions known, among them Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the No. 2 House Democrat. Jim Webb told CNN Thursday he was opposed, in part because it didn’t require congressional ratification – the measure being considered is one of approval or disapproval that is much easier for the administration to prevail on. With exclusively two Senate Democrats opposed to date that quantity is more and more wanting inside attain, and supporters might even probably safe the 41 votes that may block the decision from passing within the first place. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) has come out in favor of the treaty should come as no great surprise either.
