The questions about the San Jose police response came while Trump launched a rally Friday afternoon in Redding, California, a politically conservative city 350 miles north of San Jose.

Still, Trump has insisted that his campaign message will have enormous appeal among minority communities, particularly African-Americans and Hispanic Americans.

Trump’s 40-minute harangue against reporters probably cost him nothing in terms of support from his fans – they boo journalists at his rallies.

The Republican presidential nominee called the protesters “thugs” and said that his supporters were “far tougher if they want to be, but fortunately they are not hostile”.

“He’s sitting there behaving, and we had protesters inside the arena”.

And a police officer was injured when someone threw a metal object at him. Police reported four arrests. Some criticized San Jose police for intervening too slowly. The similarities between the Trump and Hitler are astounding, but the key difference is that Hitler was much smarter than his 2016 American counterpart.

On Twitter, Trump offered a brief note about his stop: “Rally last night in San Jose was great”.

Trump departed Redding Airport after about an hour and a half.

So it was gratifying to him and he was proud that Trump would acknowledge him in an audience that was predominantly white, he said. Trump called those who attacked his supporters Thursday night a “bunch of thugs.”. “We defeat Trump by standing together”. Will Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders denounce the goons – or go along with the liberals blaming Trump?

Garcia said uniformed officers refused to break from their “skirmish line” to break up nearby scuffles because they weren’t deemed life threatening and that “additional force can incite more violence in the crowd”.

“I do not think any of this helps anybody”.

“He was like this great guy, military guy, we have tremendous African-American support”, he said.

Despite the unrest in San Jose, attendees said they felt at ease at Friday’s event. In a new interview, Maples says she and Donald share a mutual respect for each other and their extended families despite divorcing decades ago.

T were several incidents in which protesters were caught on video assaulting Trump’s supporters.

“We’ve been hearing his nonsense”, said Rachel Ochoa, a 57-year-old Redding resident who teaches English as a second language.

“Right away we hear these shouts”.

In recent weeks on Twitter, Cher has characterized Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, as a “racist”, a “misogynist”, a “bully”, and a “creep” who is merely entertaining crowds with showmanship.
