Obama’s gun control arguments ring hollow

Employees at ATP gun shop in Ladson say the loophole may allow some convicted criminals to buy firearms at gun shows.

Obama’s push for smart technology will likely run into resistance from gun rights groups, which have long said smart technology is a way for the federal government could track firearms.

“I think it takes us a giant step forward because he is directing the much larger national bureaucracy to get more involved in the development of the technology and, hopefully, then investing in seeing that technology move forward”, he said.

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren and U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, both Massachusetts Democrats, threw their support behind President Barack Obama’s new gun control regulations on Wednesday.

But while he applauds the President’s actions on smart guns, Kloepfer doesn’t want the government to mandate smart gun use.

“There’s no doubt that (the technology) could be developed”.

Some guns come with locks, like this Smith & Wesson handgun. A boycott of the business immediately followed, crippling the venerable gun maker.

“There’s a lot of glitches in the way the technology’s designed right now”, Herb Bauer Sporting Goods gun expert John Lewis said.

That, they say, could ultimately lead to a ban on weapons. As we know our problem in America is not a gun problem.

Obama, lying to further his political agenda, really shouldn’t surprise us.

In a statement released a few hours before the new administration actions were outlined, House Speaker Paul Ryan said, “President Obama’s dismissiveness toward Americans who value the Second Amendment has been well-documented”. The Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Homeland Security (departments) shall, to the extent practicable and permitted by law, conduct or sponsor research into gun safety technology that would reduce the frequency of accidental discharge or unauthorized use of firearms, and improve the tracing of lost or stolen guns.
