Obama says Hillary more qualified than himself or Bill Clinton
Obama gave a strong endorsement of Clinton, linking her to some of the major accomplishments of his presidential tenure.

President Barack Obama with a warm embrace. “I am more optimistic about the future of America than ever before”, he declared. Contrary to Trump’s ultra-negative speech at the Republican Convention, Obama preached positivity – even after all the bad things he’s had to deal with.
“This is a more fundamental choice of who we are as a people”, he said.
President Barack Obama says Donald Trump “shows no regard for working people”. His Republican Party decided that the answer to hard-working Americans’ dreams is to slander our African-American President, stoke fear of Muslims, sow hatred of Latinos, insult Asians, and, of course, wage war against women.
On Wednesday, he made the case for Clinton, but more than any other speaker he went after Trump.
“I have never seen anything more craven than Mitch McConnell and what he has done to our democracy”.
Numerous supporters on the streets of Philadelphia have made it clear that they don’t plan to support Clinton or the Democratic Party despite pleas Monday from Sanders.
Still, the core of Clinton’s strategy is putting back together Obama’s winning White House coalition. “Tonight, I ask you to do for Hillary Clinton what you did for me”.
She will address the convention during its final evening on Thursday.
“Thank you for this incredible journey”, he said before his long exit from the stage. “Let’s keep it going”.
Obama left no doubt that he was “ready to pass the baton” to Clinton.
He praised Clinton with one breath and then turned on Trump with the next.
Vice President Joe Biden, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and U.S. Sen.
Seven protesters who breached the DNC outer perimeter fence were arrested Wednesday night, according to the Secret Service.
Biden continued: “How can there be pleasure in saying ‘you’re fired?’ He’s trying to tell us he cares about the middle class?” He added, “That’s a bunch of malarkey!” “This guy doesn’t have a clue about the Middle Class”. In both his campaigns, Obama carried more than 90 percent of black voters, the overwhelming majority of Hispanics, and more than half of young people and women. This brought a chorus of boos to which Obama replied, “Don’t boo, vote”.
He affected an impression of Trump and used the billionaire’s verbal tick “Believe Me” to ridicule him as a “slick talking, empty promising, self promoting, one man wrecking crew”.
Vice President Joe Biden offered powerful criticism of Donald Trump Wednesday, painting the Republican nominee as completely unqualified for the presidency. Kaine asked. And the crowd roared “No!”
The remarks came hours after Trump raised alarms in foreign policy circles for his overtures to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He also made an appeal to Bernie Sanders supporters who are still cool on Clinton. She’ll be introduced by daughter Chelsea Clinton, who makes relatively few high-profile public appearances.
With Trump leading Clinton in recent polls.and with in-fighting within the Democratic Party from those who wanted Bernie Sanders to win, Obama knew this one was a biggie. Chants of “No more war!” broke out when the former defense secretary and Central Intelligence Agency director questioned Trump’s ability to become commander in chief. Afterward, television anchors focused on the protests – not Panetta’s anti-Trump message.
Though he admitted Mrs Clinton was not flawless, in a piercing spray the former NY mayor and financial information entrepreneur rubbished Mr Trump’s legacy of business bankruptcies, trail of lawsuits, angry shareholders and unpaid workers who were “cheated” and “ripped off”. But Saunders says Trump taps into a “legitimate” frustration acute among small-town and rural white men whose fathers and grandfathers once helped elect Democrats.

“As of yesterday, I guess, officially our campaign ended”, a teary Sanders acknowledged during a meeting with New England delegates. That’s the Hillary I’ve come to admire.
