Obama tells donors not to take presidential election for granted
“But even before a well-heeled crowd of avowed Democrats, Obama didn’t take the chance to hammer Clinton’s Republican rival Donald Trump”.

“Michelle is very strict about me actually taking a vacation when I get a vacation”, Obama said during his speech at a Martha’s Vineyard fundraiser for Hillary Clinton.
He has dismissed her Republican opponent, NY businessman Donald Trump, as “unfit” for office. “I don’t have to make the case against her opponent because every time he talks, he makes the case against his own candidacy”.
President Barack Obama watches his ball after putting on the first green during a round of golf at Farm Neck Golf Course in Oak Bluffs, Mass., on Martha’s Vineyard, Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016.
In that span, polls have indicated Clinton with a decisive edge in many battleground states.
“When I say do our jobs, what I mean is we are going to have to continue to be engaged, we are going to continue to have to write checks, we are going to continue to have to make phone calls and rally people behind her candidacy”, Obama said. He told the donors he was exhausted of talking about Mrs Clinton’s rival.
Obama said Clinton is “not always the flashiest” but she is “the person who’s going to do the work”. “But if we do not do our jobs, then it’s still possible for her to lose”.
There is no word on what went on at this so-called “social event”, but, if we had to guess, probably a little bit of the Cha-Cha Slide, a heart-to-heart with Malia Obama about how proud he is of her, and not one but two gin-and-tonics.
Apparently, when it comes to talking about Trump, Obama has reached that point. He’s expected to spend much of the fall stumping for Clinton.
The hosts of the fundraiser were Hank Goldberg and Carol Brown Goldberg, who contributed $33,400.
Obama was joined by Cy Walker, Marty Nesbitt, and former NBA Star Alonzo Mourning.
The President returned to Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown, where he has played some of his rounds on vacation.

The details of the deliberations were revealed in hacked Democratic National Committee emails that were posted by Wikileaks, including some salty language from DNC staffers miffed at losing out on what they expected to be a high-yield event.
