He had lunch in Milwaukee Wednesday with people who had written him letters about the Affordable Care Act, considered the signature legislative achievement of his presidency.

But as he made small talk, Obama also hinted he pines for the Windy City, where he owns a home in the leafy Hyde Park neighborhood and where his presidential library will be built. 38,000 Milwaukee-area residents signed up for ACA health coverage for the first time out of almost 51,000 uninsured people eligible to enroll.

When asked by the women where he plans to live after he departs the White House, Obama responded: “We haven’t figured that out yet, we’re going to have to stay [in Washington D.C.] a couple of years so Sasha can finish” school. He credits Obamacare with saving his life. Johnson said earlier that day that the health care law has forced thousands of Wisconsin residents out of insurance they liked. Many people who were there were either directly affected by the Affordable Care Act. or have a loved one who is. To that end, the Affordable Care Act provides peace of mind and economic security to Americans across the country.

The presidential motorcade will head to the United Community Center where the Commander in Chief will thank city leaders for signing up the most people for the affordable Care Act.

“The Obama administration has been as transparent as mud about the financial health of Wisconsin’s Obamacare co-op, Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative”, said Brett Healy, president of the John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy. “We need to end this fiscal insanity now”, Healy said.

I sincerely hope that this reaches you, as far too often praise is hard to come by Sasha Obama.

Obama did not say what career he will pursue on Thursday but he told Barbara Walters in 2013 that he does not wish to continue a career in politics.

The day before, the House failed to override Obama’s veto of a Ryan-supported bill to repeal most of the law.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said February 3 that repeal is unrealistic “when a guy with the last name Obama is president”.

“And by the way Milwaukee, while you worked your tails off to cover enough folks to fill Lambeau Field, your governor still refuses to expand Medicaid in this state”.
