Obama to tell foe-to-friend story at Hillary Clinton event
The White House confirmed Monday that Clinton and Obama will travel to the event together on Air Force One.

“Crooked Hillary will NEVER be able to handle the complexities and danger of ISIS – it will just go on forever”, he tweeted, using an acronym for the Islamic State extremist group.
Mitch Stewart, Obama’s battleground states director in 2012, said there was some disagreement that year about whether Obama’s tech-infused strategy would work for other Democrats, or whether the phenomenon was Obama-specific.
“I was eager to do it and I was pleased to have the opportunity to assist the department in bringing its review to a conclusion”, Clinton said of her Federal Bureau of Investigation interview. Clinton will host a special performance of the show next week as a fundraiser for her campaign.
North Carolina is a swing state. “It’s a state with people who are hungry for progressive change”. While the interview was expected and some legal experts view prosecution as exceedingly unlikely, the ongoing investigation represents a major risk for Democrats and poses as an unwelcome distraction.
Clinton leads republican presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump by 5 percentage points. Clinton first deployed general election staff to North Carolina in late April and their first ads in the state began running in June. A postponement after the Orlando terrorist shooting only extended the delay for Obama, who aides say is revving to appear on a campaign stage.
Taking a jab at both US President Barack Obama and Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton, Trump called them politically correct fools, under whose leadership terrorist attacks will get worse. Some 40% of voters said they would be less inclined to vote for a Republican candidate who endorsed Trump, the Journal poll showed, while only 16% said they would be more likely to back the candidate.
And the Clinton campaign believes there is no more compelling messenger than the president for its central critique of Trump, which is that he’s unfit to be commander in chief. Women make up about 53 percent of registered voters. His campaign aggressively registered more young people and black voters, and he drew support from moderates in the booming suburbs of Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham.
The crown jewel of Obama’s machine, an email list of supporters that included 20 million addresses in 2012, is now fully available to Clinton.
At least for now, Clinton has the airwaves largely to herself.
“I guess it is exciting in a lot of ways, because I don’t feel like North Carolina was that prominent before, but it’s becoming more of a piece of the puzzle”, said Monique Gonzalez, of Charlotte.

Priorities USA, a super PAC backing Clinton, is similarly focused on the state. “But the Trump campaign so far has been completely incapable of doing that”.
