On several occasions in the past week, the in governor has found himself in direct conflict with Trump, taking a different campaign tact or running damage control after one of the Republican presidential nominee’s incendiary remarks.

Priebus is furious, said a source in the party after Trump’s decision Tuesday to withhold his endorsement of Ryan ahead of the House speaker’s August 9 primary.

“As someone who has worked to further the Republican Party’s principles for the last 15 years, I believe that we are at a moment where silence isn’t an option”, former Christie senior aide Maria Comella told CNN.

“I think that’s probably right”, he acknowledged. Last week, he issued a statement condemning Russian Federation for any alleged tampering in the US presidential race, after Trump said in a press conference that Russian Federation should locate Democrat Hillary Clinton’s missing emails – a comment Trump later said was meant to be sarcastic. Both Ryan and McCain had criticised Trump’s feud with the family of Army Captain Humayun Khan, who died in the line of duty in Iraq in 2004 and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for bravery after his death. He also insisted that distancing themselves from Trump’s statement without withdrawing their support is of no outcome.

Trump’s criticism of her was severe.

Pence asked the crowd to quiet down and then said of the questioner: “That’s what freedom looks like. Folks that’s what freedom looks like and that’s what freedom sounds like”. “Speaker Ryan’s repeated betrayal of Donald Trump is an act of sabotage against our Party and an act of sabotage against our Republican electorate who selected Mr. Trump as our nominee”.

On Tuesday, Pence held a meeting with Arizona Sen.

Some Republicans are lying in wait, hoping that Trump loses to Hillary Clinton in November so that the populist forces can be expelled from the party and the same Establishment power brokers can re-take the GOP ahead of the 2020 election.

Pence says that he spoke with Trump Wednesday morning about his “support for Paul Ryan and our longtime friendship”. He encouraged me to endorse Paul Ryan in next Tuesday’s primary.

“Manafort not challenging (Trump) anymore”, Manafort’s ally wrote to NBC. He recently gave a reporter in his traveling press entourage cupcakes for her birthday.

Asked about the rumors of the intervention, Manafort laughed them off.

On Tuesday, Trump booted a mother with a crying baby from his campaign event, and boasted of receiving of receiving a Purple Heart, the nation’s highest military honor, from a veteran, saying “I always wanted to get the Purple Heart”.

“I like Paul, but these are awful times for our country”.

Manafort says of Trump’s spat with the family: “We’ve put it behind us”. He also would not answer questions about the IN governor’s approach to dealing with the fallout from Trump’s remarks.

The dispute over Trump’s treatment of the Khans was the latest rift in a party frayed by dissent over the candidate.

But Trump’s campaign is unusual for the candidate’s singular control over its daily message, which thwarts attempts at traditional discipline.

Indeed, Trump on Wednesday reported raising $80 million in July for his campaign and the Republican Party. But that seemed to have struck a nerve with Trump.

Opinion polls have shown Clinton benefiting from a boost after her party’s convention last week.
