Obama Writes For Glamour: All Men Should Be Feminists
In an eloquent essay on 21st Century feminism for the new issue of Glamour, Obama affirmed this, echoing the sentiments championed at the DNC by Obama himself, and the First Lady, and his vice president, and nearly every other speaker to take the stage in Philadelphia: America is great right now, the greatest it has ever been.

The essay was published on Obama’s 55th birthday. Do other men? Next time, Obama should publish his feminist manifesto somewhere they’ll find it.
Obama urged parents to help their children see these stereotypes and perceived norms, and rise above them, and also noted the responsibility of all men to fight sexism.
President Obama has penned an op-ed in Glamour Magazine, in which he addressed his feminism, the state of women’s rights, and the historic nature of Hillary Clinton’s candidacy for president. We need to keep changing the attitude that punishes women for their sexuality and rewards men for theirs. “Like many working mothers, she anxious about the expectations and judgments of how she should handle the trade-offs, knowing that few people would question my choices”, he writes of his early political career.
President Obama is such a dad, and he’s back at it again with the dad jokes.
“I’ve seen how Michelle has balanced the demands of a busy career and raising a family”, he wrote.
But I also have to admit that when you’re the father of two daughters, you become even more aware of how gender stereotypes pervade our society.
In his essay, he said the ultimate perk of being president is living so close to where he works, given his office is literally in the house he resides in (you know, the Oval Office… in the White House) because it allowed him to see his daughters more often. “The burden disproportionately and unfairly fell on Michelle”.
“We need to keep changing a culture that shines a particularly unforgiving light on women and girls of color”, he wrote. The president named the late Rep. Shirley Chisholm, a Democrat and the first African American woman to be elected to congress, as a personal heroine.
“No matter your political views, this is a historic moment for America”, he said. After all, he reminds, 21st-century feminism isn’t just about the Benjamins; “it’s about the Tubmans, too”.
With the US Presidential Elections under the radar of the entire world, the day of Barack Obama’s tenure as the President of the United States is nearing a closure.

The post is an interesting move on the part of the Democratic president given that the candidate he endorsed to take his spot, Hillary Clinton, made history last week by becoming the first female nominee for the presidency from any major political party in America.
