Obamas back home after short hike in Hawaii
Pool reporters following the Obamas on their vacation in Hawaii were permitted their first glimpse of the president as he completed a round of golf at the Mid Pacific Country Club.

Obama doesn’t often speak publicly about his golf game.
The President enjoyed a near-PGA moment as he sunk a chip from 40 feet on the 18th green.
While Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Martin O’Malley duked it out on stage at St. Anselm College in Manchester, N. H., POTUS hit the course on the Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe while First Lady Michelle Obama hiked the Makapuu Lighthouse Trail. By Knoller’s count, Obama played nine rounds of golf during his last Hawaii vacation.
Obama walked down the 18th fairway as the sun set behind the Koolau Mountains.
Obama was playing with childhood friends Greg Orme and Bobby Titcomb, as well as regular golf buddy Darrell Harrington.

The Obamas spent about two hours at dinner before leaving Waikiki at 9:25 p.m. Many onlookers lined the sidewalks near the upscale restaurant to catch a glimpse of the president. Then, as the cameras rolled, Obama got his early Christmas present. But past media reports say the president is not the best golfer, especially for a guy who spends a lot of time on the links. Even the president needs a holiday break, right?
