Rio police said Ireland team leader Kevin Kilty, chief executive Stephen Martin and secretary general Dermot Henihan, are accused of illegally selling Olympic tickets.

The Irish Times reported earlier that passports had been seized from three officials.

Following the arrest of OCI president Pat Hickey, the offices of the Irish governing body have now been raided. He could make his first court appearance today after he was arrested on Wednesday on…

A previous statement said police also seized the officials’ phones and laptops.

O’Brien is the acting OCI president, standing in for Patrick Hickey, who has been arrested and detained in Brazil as police investigate the alleged ticket scam.

They were also assisting three other OCI officers who had their passports confiscated by Brazilian police.

No further arrests were made Sunday, but the OCI said additional members of its delegation have been “asked to present for questioning at a local police station on Tuesday”.

Police arrived at the OCI offices in the Olympic village and its accommodation on Sunday morning, where they met staff.

After being discharged he was taken to a police station for questioning in connection with the investigation.

Mr. Hickey is now being held at the notorious Bangu Prison on charges of ticket touting, and illegal marketing.

This sub-committee is set to appoint worldwide consultancy firm Arthur Cox to conduct an independent review of their ticketing arrangements.

This is a stage in the legal process that is not equivalent to being charged in British or Irish law.

Hickey was arrested in a dramatic dawn raid on his hotel on Tuesday last and jailed on remand.

Kevin Mallon, a director of THG Sports, which specialises in corporate and sports hospitality and is owned by Ipswich Town FC owner Marcus Evans, has been in custody in Brazil since August 5 over the affair.

THG and PRO10 have denied any wrongdoing over ticket sales.
