Oculus still hasn’t announced the release date of its virtual reality headset Oculus Rift, but the company said the pre-orders open this Wednesday.
And hey, if you wanna get in on the action, you can do so right here: the headset costs $600 and starts shipping in March. Samsung released its own headset – the Gear VR – previous year for $99. Oculus Rift, the headset that first sparked interest in VR back in 2012 following a surprisingly successful Kickstarter campaign, has spent years under wraps.
The company promises to disclose “everything you need to know to order your Rift” when the Oculus Rift pre orders begin.
Each Rift comes with a copy of the platform VR game Lucky’s Tale by Playful, but pre-orders will also include a copy of EVE: Valkyrie as well. Specifically, those who backed the original dev kit for the Oculus through Kickstarter.
A ship date and the price for Oculus Rift has been revealed. The horror game Edge of Nowhere and a virtual reality edition of Rock Band are both expected in 2016. Are you going to pre-order one? In the second half of 2016, Oculus will add Oculus Touch motion controllers for more advanced games featuring motion, The Verge reports.
“Over 20 Oculus Studios titles, many more 3rd party titles”.

On top of that, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey has said that the website is having trouble processing payments due to a high volume of purchases all coming in at the same time.
