Odell Beckham Jr. reaching out in preparing for Jets game

In a game with playoff implications for both teams, the New York Giants wilted while the New York Jets fought back.

According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, Darrelle Revis is not expected to be on the field come Sunday when the Jets face off against the New York Giants.

“He didn’t do anything today, so it’s more than likely he won’t play”, Bowles said Thursday. Bowls told the NFL Media, “I don’t think Revis will play”.

However the Jets’ secondary may also be without Dion Bailey and Marcus Williams, who are both doubtful.

Coughlin elected to go on fourth-and-2 from the Jets 4 with his team ahead 20-10 with under nine minutes to play.

The Jets could use a combination of Buster Skrine, Darrin Walls, Dexter McDougle and Dee Milliner in Revis’ spot. Antonio Cromartie could draw the assignment of covering Odell Beckham Jr.

“It’s better if they’re going for the ball and not going to play the ball out of my hands”, he said. S Calvin Pryor had a stinger, according to Bowles, and WR Jeremy Kerley left with a migraine…. It would have been fun to go against a guy like that, and it’s unfortunate that he’s not playing, but maybe we’ll get that matchup down the road.

The players embraced, and so did several coaches, knowing that the Jets (7-5) overcame a sloppy performance in which they gave up a few big plays and had some costly penalties – and still managed to help themselves in the AFC playoff hunt. To add injury to that insult, Revis ended up with a concussion in the game. “It’s going to take a full effort, different guys on him, getting hands on him, just make it a tough day for him”.

Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo said Beckham’s preparation happens more often than we sometimes realize. “We got single coverage, and we put him to the wide field and basically just threw it up and said, ‘Brandon, make a play.’ He came down with it and made it look easy”. Instead, Eli Manning threw an interception, the Jets took over at their own 14 after the return and got a touchdown off the turnover. “This is where we have to close it out, ‘” Jenkins said.

Rueben Randle has 40 catches for 511 yards and four touchdowns, Dwayne Harris has 27 receptions for 332 yards and four TDs and running back Shane Vereen has 40 catches for 342 yards and three scores. We have a challenge at hand with not just (Beckham), but all their guys.

“The next five games are important for everybody”, Tisch said when asked if the next five games are important for Reese and Coughlin.
