Odin Sphere Leifthrasir: PS4 Storybook Edition Release Date, Pre-orders Kick

The HD remaster of “Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir” is coming out with a StoryBook Edition exclusive to the PlayStation 4. Previously we were introduced to Oswald, also known as Shadow Knight, a human that serves the Fairy Kingdom of Ringford.

To reiterate, the Odin Sphere Leifthrasir “Storybook Edition” exclusively contains the PlayStation 4 version of the game.

For those unaware, “Odin Sphere Leifthrasir” is a remake of an underrated PS2 game. The Storybook Edition will retail for $79.99 and is now up at Amazon.com, with more retailers to follow.

Aside from the Storybook Edition, there is also one that in itself could already be added in one’s collection. All this is housed within a Premium Outer Box that displays breathtaking art work on every side.

Art Print – Also included with the game will be a high-quality art print with another not-yet-revealed (but different) design. “Odin Sphere Leiftrasir” will be available on the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The special edition will have a hardcover art book, among others. From completely hand-redrawn graphics and refined gameplay mechanics to optimizations for the release consoles, the game fully encapsulates an artfully elegant tale steeped in Norse mythology with all the makings of a tragic opera.

For those that don’t wish to drop $80 on the game, or don’t have a PS4, the standard edition will come with a softcover version of the artbook. Developer Vanillaware stated that the game should be available by spring 2016 in the West, which means fans can finally mark their calendars for the beat-em-up/roleplaying game (RPG) hybrid.

Additionally, Atlus confirmed that it will make the 8-bit browser version of the game it teased last weekend.
