What should users expect with Android 7.0 Nougat?
While it does sound exciting, there is a chance for both Marlin and Sailfish to arrive earlier than expected. But, under the hood Google has come up with new features to the all time favorite operating system of smart phone users.
HTC previously announced which of its non-Nexus devices will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update this year. Google also announced that it will be releasing quarterly maintenance updates, similar to developer previews when Android N was in beta.
Daydream is also one of the most wonderful feature of Android Nougat 7.0.
Read on for a manufacturer by manufacturer rundown of other phones that will likely get Android Nougat soon.
As I was mentioning above, the Android 7.0 Nougat update is already rolling out for the supported Nexus devices.
In other related developments, the honor of the first Android device to sport Android 7.0 Nougat will go to the LG V20 smartphone.
Supported devices include: Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G (Android One).
Google’s latest Android offering hosts a number of new features like multi-window multitasking feature, improved battery saving options via Doze, etc. You should get a notification saying there’s an update ready to install. And when you upgrade your device and reboot it, a new upgraded image will appear! With this update, the features that have not been added to Android Nougat on its intial release is said to be added in by then.
