We get a lot more of Jared Leto’s Joker in the trailer than I expected to see. Let us know your thoughts on the new Suicide Squad trailer below! “We’re bad guys”, Harley explains, after breaking into a shop window to steal a shiny new purse.

The trailer debuted during the CW’s DC Films Present The Dawn of the Justice League special, which also featured advance looks at next year’s Justice League Part 1 and Wonder Woman.

Jared Leto is in the mix as the Clown Prince of Crime himself, the Joker and Ben Affleck is certain to make an appearance as Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Warner Bros. may be pushing its upcoming Batman v. Superman as the beginning of its connected DC Comics universe, but it’s Suicide Squad that might be its most intriguing adaptation on the schedule. But first, the build-up began by revealing the first official posters for the movie on January 17, which shows off the characters without necessarily showing their actors.

Based on the comic book by John Ostrander, the movie follows a group of imprisoned supervillains who are recruited by a secret government agency to take on unsafe black ops mission in return from clemency.

“Suicide Squad” also stars Viola Davis (Waller), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Boomerang) and Adam Beach (Slipknot). Who is your favorite character on the team? Directed by David Ayer, the movie will be released stateside on August 5.
