Officials confirm first Washington state case of Zika virus

Brazil considers most of the cases of microcephaly to be related to Zika, though the link between the virus and the birth defects has not been scientifically established. Health officials think Zika might be connected to the rise in birth defects in the Americas, though it has not yet been proven.
The virus mainly spreads to people from infected mosquitoes.
It is not now known how long men who have had Zika infections continue to emit the virus in their semen.
The other eight are still under investigation.
