Officers located the female inside an unoccupied house along with the kidnapping suspect who was identified as Shawn Michael Grate.
A 40-year-old male suspect was jailed on a kidnapping charge. Investigators also found the remains of two people at the home, Chief David Marcelli said.
ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) – A decision on additional charges in the case of an Ohio man arrested at a house where two bodies were found will come Thursday, authorities said. She said he was holed up a vacant house and had a Taser.
The woman repeatedly says she is afraid to make noise, to open a squeaky door or to try and leave.
Two bodies were found at a home on Covert Court on Tuesday.
“I’ve been abducted”, the woman said in the 911 call. The dispatcher stayed on the line until police arrived.
Police have confirmed the identity of one woman found dead earlier this week. She said it was nearly as if he was happy about some of the things he’d done to her and other people.
‘I’ve been abducted. Please hurry, ‘ she said.
The 43-year-old’s cause of death has not been determined, Ashland police said. Grate also allegedly kept a third woman, identified as Jane Doe, against her will between September 11 and September 13, for the objective of sexual activity. She tells the dispatcher that she is being held in a house near Fourth Street Laundromat.
Grate is accused of holding the surviving woman “against her will for the goal of engaging in sexual activity”, between September 11 and 13, Tunnel said.

Grate told authorities of the third body during an interview. Forensics experts and anthropologists, along with investigators with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, combed through charred debris Wednesday and found the unidentified remains of a woman in a ravine behind the property.
