The woman’s report led to the arrest of Shawn Grate in Ashland, Ohio.

The unnamed victim, held against her will, called while her captor slept feet away.

She identifies Grate as the man who tied her up, saying, “I kind of freed myself” enough to get the phone and call for help.

When asked whether she was bleeding, the woman answered, “Not anymore”.

The Mansfield News Journal says police went to an Ashland home after the woman called authorities Tuesday morning.

Remains of two people were found in the residence when police searched the two homes on Covert Court Tuesday after the 911 call.

Kurtis Stanley said Wednesday he knew something was wrong when he hadn’t heard from Stacey Stanley and reported her missing to police the next day, September 9.

A decision on additional charges will be made today. Sheldon said they are looking for identification, purses, even blood – although it might be destroyed after three months. The homes where the bodies were found in Ashland were supposed to be vacant.

The coroner hasn’t determined Stacey Stanley’s cause of death or identified the second body, Ashland police said in a statement.

A 40-year-old male suspect was jailed on a kidnapping charge.

The house was cordoned off Wednesday with yellow police tape, and two bouquets of sunflowers were placed in front with a teddy bear and a cross with Stanley’s name and the message: “You are loved by many”.

Police believe one of those bodies may be Elizabeth Griffith who disappeared on August 16 in Ashland.

A body found in the woods behind a burned-out home in Mansfield was removed late Wednesday afternoon. The remains haven’t been identified.

Grate then provided officials with information on the location of another person’s remains at a nearby property in Richland County. It was not immediately clear if he has an lawyer.

Argil Stanley, Stacey’s uncle, tells PEOPLE that his 43-year-old niece “was a very loving person with a big heart” who enjoyed dancing and singing.

Richland County prosecutor Bambi Couch Page told the Mansfield News Journal Grate had confessed to killing a woman in June and then setting fire to her house.
