Kasich said with a laugh in the video.

Only the top 10 candidates, determined by who has the highest averages of the five most recent credible national polls, will get a spot in the first GOP debate for its 2016 primary season on August 6.
Now in his second term as governor, Kasich earlier spent nine terms in Congress, ending in 2001, where he served on both the Armed Services and Budget committees.
While Mr. Kasich’s irreverence is part of his appeal, he sometimes is perceived as impatient and even impolitic, raising questions about his temperament and specifically his temper.
This is Kasich’s second run for the White House.
“That’s a much sounder investment of our resources”, New Day for America spokesman Chris Schrimpf told The Hill.
Kasich is the latest in more than a dozen GOP presidential hopefuls.
Last year, at a donor conference sponsored by the conservative Koch brothers, Kasich angrily rebuked a major GOP contributor who challenged his decision to expand Medicaid under the federal healthcare law.
Kasich also announced that he has handed over some of his Twitter duties, which were apparently done by himself, over to his staff. He wrote.
Kasich has a busy week ahead with town hall events in New Hampshire today, Wednesday and Thursday, and a visit to South Carolina and Iowa on Friday, the Associated Press reported.
Some Republican activists, which is to say those most likely to vote in the party’s nominating contest, take a less-kind view.
Kasich was able to unite Ohio’s firefighters, police officers, teachers, nurses, probation officers, and the overwhelming majority of Ohio voters.
Kasich raised $39.7 million for his races for governor, according to Ohio Secretary of State records.
Kasich already has the endorsement of one statewide candidate, Republican state Auditor Dave Yost.
The former House Budget chairman was the architect of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, something he boasts in a new ad which will start airing Tuesday in New Hampshire. “I give him this, he’s timed it well”.
“I think it’s a formula for the country”.

“On the very day Cleveland is working hard to address serious issues, Ohio’s sitting governor is 700 miles away, wining and dining with Republican big-wigs and donors”, Pepper said in a statement. Kasich and Bush have taken heat for their support of Common Core, a set of education standards that many GOPers (including Rick Perry and Marco Rubio) have denounced as a federal encroachment into the classroom. He’s off to early-voting states after his announcement. Can he assemble a strong team in New Hampshire, a state he sees as his best path to the nomination? Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, who many people thought had all the right stuff, did horribly in 2012 as he faced the formidable campaign infrastructure of Mitt Romney.
