Ohio’s Republican governor done talking about Trump
Rob Portman on Thursday, joining the vulnerable Republican for the first time on his 30-county bus tour.

The senate race between Portman and former OH governor Ted Strickland are just a handful of contests through the country that will decide which party will control the senate.
“It doesn’t even matter what happens at the top of the ticket”, Kasich said.
Strickland says it would’ve been irresponsible not to tap the Rainy Day Fund to protect education, police and fire services and Ohio’s overall economy.
Portman on the senate race: “It will help decide the majority in the Senate”.
And Kasich also said part of the reason he supports Portman is that he’s a candidate for the future of the GOP given his stance on issues such as LGBT rights. “And he’s the senator that understands the things that needs to be done and the agendas that we need to have to move not only the Party forward, but more importantly, the country forward”.

According to Portman’s campaign, Kasich – a popular incumbent who led an unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination for president earlier this year – will join him during stops in Centerville and Columbus. Kasich says his actions speaker louder than words.
