Ohio State football lands five-star WRs Trevon Grimes, Tyjon Lindsey
Grimes, a 6’3, 202 pounder from St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida (the same school that produced the Bosa brothers, and is becoming a bit of an Ohio State pipeline), was wanted by virtually everybody in college football.

Grimes, ranked as the No. 3 wide receiver in the nation, initially had planned to announce his decision Wednesday, but then tweeted Monday that there had been a change of plans.
The additions will help push the Buckeyes to the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation as things stand. Ohio State entered the day without a receiver commit in the Class of 2017 and now has two of the best.
Grimes is the No. 27-ranked prospect overall and gives coach Urban Meyer four ESPN 300 prospects from Florida in this class. Lindsey is ranked No. 76 overall and will be reuniting with high school teammates Tate Martell and Haskell Garrett, who previously committed to Ohio State.
Tyjon Lindsey, a fellow Scout 100 receiver hailing out of Las Vegas, also joined in on the fun and committed to the Buckeyes this morning. Monday, the Buckeyes doubled up with two five-star recruits.
“This is in the pantheon of Ohio State recruiting days in terms of major commitments”, said Jeremy Birmingham, analyst for Landof10.com.
Lindsey picked Ohio State over Nebraska, though he had been courted by Alabama and many others.

Grimes and Lindsey both attended Ohio State’s “Friday Night Lights” recruitment event last month, which was one of the reasons their commitment to the Buckeyes seemed imminent.
