Just a huge loss for Ohio State being that he is a third year guy and played special teams and played really well in the opener. “Id say theres three guys in the country that do what he does, including him.

I am one of the few members of our site that is going to pick Oklahoma to win.

For Oklahoma, this is a do-or-die game.

Austin Kendall, the backup quarterback for No. 14 Oklahoma, made it clear he doesn’t think the defense of upcoming opponent No. 3 Ohio State is much to worry about.

But the tape also shows some things that Oklahoma does well.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma offense has more weapons than Ohio State’s defense has faced so far.

The Buckeyes’ offense, meanwhile, got off to a slow start against Tulsa. The Sooners failed to cover the spread as 46-point favorites in last Saturday’s 59-17 win over Louisiana-Monroe, but did improve to 7-0 SU in its last seven games at home.

After a storm delay extended halftime, the offense came out and pounded on Tulsa in the second half to pull away. J.T. Barrett threw for 149 yards in 14 of 22 passes. Having contributed on defense since his arrival to Columbus in 2014, McMillan picked up 119 tackles last season, and was a finalist for the Butkus Award.

“Mark Andrews is the deep threat, averaging nearly 31 yards a catch on 5 receptions; on top of which, the 6’5” sophomore has 10 touchdowns on the 24 catches he’s had since 2015. The Buckeyes will rely on his steady veteran leadership this week playing in front of a hostile crowd. Leading the offense is Lincoln Riley, victor of the Broyles Award as the top assistant in college football in 2015. We’ll be pumping noise at our practices to work on communication this week, so that should help. Oklahoma has some pretty decent trends to look at for this game.

The Buckeyes certainly won’t underestimate Oklahoma this week.

In the first two games, five different wide receivers caught passes, in addition to H-backs Curtis Samuel and Dontre Wilson and tight ends Marcus Baugh and A.J. Alexander. “I think we can go out there and, I mean, Baker, he’ll light them up”. Oklahoma, a College Football Playoff semifinalist previous year, started the season ranked No. 3 before a 33-23 loss to Houston in its opener.

Following up current Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is no easy task, but redshirt freshman Mike Weber is doing a solid job doing just that.

The Sooners will open up their conference play next week, as they take on the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs on the road.

“It’ll be a big challenge”, said Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops, an OH native. “The fans are. It’ll be a great week to get ready for and enjoy the competition”.
