Ohio State releases insane trailer for showdown against Oklahoma
It’s kind of a big deal up here in Ohio.

There’s still a lot of football left to be played. Defensively, Ohio State football is yielding 184.5 yards in passing and 126.8 yards in rushing against the opposing teams.
This game was circled all offseason as one of the best matchups for 2016 and it shouldn’t disappoint.
Kendall is a freshman from Waxhaw, North Carolina, but he is familiar with Ohio State. Still, confused why a backup QB was interviewed.
I think the Buckeyes do a good job of limiting the explosive plays. They’re looking forward to more of a challenge and for improvement this week. How big of a loss would that be for the Buckeyes and what is your take on his possible replacement, Jerome Baker? The Ducks’ offense has been extremely sharp, averaging 577 yards against overmatched opponents with new quarterback Dakota Prukop and running back Royce Freeman leading the way. Kendall is not going to want to play against the likes of defensive end Nick Bosa, linebacker Raekwon McMillan, and company. Is there any worry from the staff and fan base about their very talented, but young offensive line coming into the game this weekend? Last year, the dynamic duo combined to rush for 162 yards per game.
Beating Oklahoma on the road at night will give Ohio State its first signature regular season non-conference win since 2006, set the tone for the rest of this season, firmly plant J.T. Barrett in the Heisman race and show the rest of country that the concerns about the inexperience were absurd.
Last week: Ohio State beat Tulsa 48-3. Meyer has made it known just how tough that OU defensive line is at his pressers.
It’s probably fair to say you would stop reading some 15 seconds into this column if all I wrote about was how big this week was for the Big Ten.
The Oklahoma Sooners (1-1) outlasted Louisiana Monroe Warhawks, 59-17, last week. Austin Kendall is really going to think twice because it didn’t take long for this video to make it to the campus of Ohio State. Barrett has thrown for just shy of 500 yards in the first two games of the season.
On the practice field, the Sooners started working on the similarities about two weeks before the Houston game. And it’s been reported Urban called Tom Herman this week so expect to see some of the things Houston did replicated in this game.
Stakes are high and the Buckeyes are ready to exert their will on the Sooners.
But Alabama responded. The Tide needed just three plays and 37 seconds to pull within 24-10 after Calvin Ridley ran for a 6-yard score.
Christian McCaffrey – Although Stanford had a bye last week, I’m keeping McCaffrey here because his performance was good enough to remain No. 1. I’m going 42-39 Buckeyes.
The game is played on the field, but also from the sidelines as two of the game’s top head coaches will make strategic moves to try to grab the win. More challenges remain for both schools – including games against defending ACC champion and preseason favorite No. 5 Clemson – but the victor of this nationally televised showdown can take a major step in the Atlantic Division. Known for his autocratic style, Schiano has plenty of experience coaching on all levels and will look to disrupt the Oklahoma offense.
