Adolphus Washington’s eligibility for Ohio State’s Fiest Bowl matchup against Notre Dame is in question, after the senior was cited for solicitation by Columbus police, according to ABC 6/FOX 28 Columbus. Washington will appear in court December 17.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer is now on the recruiting tail, and will address Washington’s citation tomorrow.

“Do not know at this point”, Ohio State Vice President and Director of Athletics Gene Smith told Eleven Warriors. If he does play, it will likely be his last game in collegiate football. Washington apologized to teammates, family and friends after the incident. He says he’s disappointed in himself and will learn from his mistake. His decision paid off, as he finished among the Buckeyes’ team leaders in tackles and sacks.

Washington is a senior who has played in one game this season after starting in 14 games last season, the Associated Press reports.
