Ohio State’s Miller shifting from QB to receiver
Miller told Sports Illustrated’s Pete Thamel he will switch to H-back and play a role of an offensive weapon and return punts and it’s a brilliant move for him and should make Ohio State even more unsafe offensively and helps Miller in the eyes of the NFL. “It’s a long process to back totally to throwing and throwing every day. We’ve been working at it, but I’m not ready to say exactly how we’re going to use him yet”. Im going to have fun with that and still score a lot of touchdowns and help the team out and be dominant at that..

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Miller was Big Ten player of the year in 2012 and 2013. Shifting Miller to the H-back strengthens the group.
With his decision to make the position switch in college he will have an entire fall camp to work with his wide receivers coach Zach Smith and an entire season to learn the nuances of the position and get a year’s worth of reps in college.
The Huber Heights, Ohio, product started 12 games in each of his first three seasons with the Buckeyes, throwing for more than 5,000 yards and 52 touchdowns. But Miller said with more than two months until he’ll be completely healthy at quarterback, he’s approaching this season as primarily a wide receiver. Miller watched film of receivers such as DeVier Posey, Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr.and Cris Carter with coach Urban Meyer and snuck into the practice facility late at night to run routes with fellow quarterback J.T. Barrett during May and June. Especially when one of those opposing defenses is overseen by Bud Foster, the Virginia Tech coordinator whose defense made the Buckeyes look nothing like national champions in an embarrassing Week 2 loss in Columbus last season. Expect top see Miller lined up all around Ohio State’s formation.

Rumors swirled about Miller possibly transferring with the seemingly uphill battle toward winning back the starting job over Barrett and Jones, but he confirmed his intentions to stay in the scarlet and gray earlier in July. “It’s going to be a matter of how quickly he grows into the position, but the sky is the limit for him”. The Hokies were the only team to beat the Buckeyes last season.
