Ohio State to sell beer and wine at football games
Now, it seems that Ohio State is looking to tip their toe into the water.

On Friday the university announced a pilot program that will provide beer and wine to fans with access to the stadium’s suites and club seats.
Beer and wine will be sold at football games in Ohio Stadium this year, but only in the high-roller seating areas.
Smith told The Blade in 2012 that he understood why many schools were turning to alcohol sales for an added revenue stream, but said, “We just don’t need to do that”.
Alcohol has been available at suites and club seats in the Schottenstein Center, Ohio State’s basketball and hockey arena, since it opened in 1998.
“This decision was made in consultation and with input from appropriate stakeholders, including the Athletics Council”. Gene Smith will be speaking to local media about the policy today at 2 p.m.

Ohio State already has sold beer at three concerts and a Cleveland Browns scrimmage. After each event, the university gathered reports from Levy Restaurants, Ohio State’s concessions vendor, pertaining to the successful sale of alcohol.
