Prime Minister Modi, in his Independence Day address, had thanked the people of Balochistan, Gilgit and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir for the goodwill they have shown towards him “The Congress Party didn’t find any fault with the comment made by the Prime Minister in connection with Balochistan”.

We wish all other regions in Pakistan very very well.

Afghanistan’s retired president, Karzai, meets his successor nearly every day and advises him on key policy issues, he said in an interview, a role that could raise concerns in the West over ties with Kabul. Congress is already in a damage control mode after former external affairs minister Salman Khurshid’s take on the Balochistan reference in Modi’s speech earlier this week.
