OJ Simpson TV series, and politics, win big at Emmys

Jeffrey Tambor won best lead actor in a comedy series for his role in Transparent and urged the television industry to provide more opportunities for transgender actors. Transparent’s winners each delivered memorable moments with their speeches, such as creator Jill Soloway shouting “Topple the patriarchy!” as she accepted directing honors.
