Early Thursday morning, ESPN reported that Russell Westbrook would sign a three-year deal to remain with the Oklahoma City Thunder. “Obviously, you guys are the best fans in the world”.

But since Russ is staying, the Thunder shifts its focus on building a great roster around him. The player option for the third season also allows Westbrook to capitalize on the league rule, allowing players who have completed 10 seasons to earn a larger max salary.
